New Delhi: Capt GR Gopinath-led Air Deccan is spreading its wings to the Gulf and Saarc region. The airline, sources told The Times of India, is in talks with private equity investors to set up joint venture low-cost airline companies in the Middle East and Saarc region.
"Negotiations are already underway and a decision on the final destination for the new overseas airline venture and the partner would be fixed over the next three to six months," a source close to the negotiations said.
Gopinath, when contacted, refused to comment on the matter. However, sources pointed out that the new airline venture would be similar to Deccan's current arrangement in Sri Lanka.
