Doha: Representatives of expatriate forum All India Cultural Congress (AICC) sought the intervention of the Indian federal civil aviation ministry to clear hurdles for the proposed Air Kerala, an airline sought to be launched by the southern Indian state.
The forum made the appeal to Indian Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi during an official visit to Qatar last week.
In a memorandum submitted to the minister, the forum thanked the minister for initiating steps to increase the staff strength at Indian missions in the region. The minister’s attention was drawn to the necessity of a ship service from Dubai to Kochi, via Doha.
