Mumbai: The 17-year-old who made a bomb-hoax call which delayed an Alitalia flight by two hours on Monday morning may be in for a rough time. The Sahar police have registered a case against the boy for providing false information to a public servant and cheating.
Shailesh Patel (name changed), a Std XII student of Jamnabai Narsee School, called the Alitalia airline office thrice to tell them that a bomb would be planted on the flight for Milan scheduled at 2 pm.
Patel wanted to stop his girlfriend, who was travelling by the same flight, from leaving the city. She was one of 12 students from Jamnabai School headed for Italy to attend a mock United Nations session.
