Bangalore: Indus Aviation Products Private Limited (IAPPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Indus Aviation Inc, USA, has successfully test flown the first Thorp T211 aircraft assembled in India.
This was the first aircraft produced in India through a unique venture of aviation manufacturing companies, an IAPPL release said.
Indus Aviation Inc., of Dallas, Texas, USA has collaborated over the past three years with Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited (TAAL) to produce the first DGCA - certified Thorp T211 aircraft in India. Indus made this airplane in the US under the FAA type certficated process as well as the new light sport aircraft category, it said.
