New Delhi: The skies are getting dotted with more planes and airlines. And students dreaming of kissing the skies in those magnificent flying machines are realising there's no time like right here, right now to get the high of their lives.
Cashing in on the demand are ground schools which are helping them tackle written exams of the DGCA. That and 200 hours of flying will ensure a commercial pilot's licence (CPL) and a launch-pad into an airline.
It's estimated there're nearly 1,500 trained pilots in India. With the number of carriers expected to go upto 400 in the next two years, and every plane needing at least eight sets of pilots, they'll be in demand for some time.
