Undeclared salary cuts for Jet in-flight cabin crew

Mumbai: Even as Jet Airways announced the extension of the term of share purchase agreement with Sahara, its employees, specially the in-flight cabin crew, continued to grapple with a larger problem at hand they have been receiving only a fraction of their salaries for the last four months now.
And there is no word yet from the airline management on the sudden pay cuts. According to sources, over 1,200 Jet Airways inflight cabin crew attendants have started feeling the heat of the Sahara take-over. It started with an unexpected jump in salaries for November.
"Some days after we got unannounced 20% hike in salaries, the assistant base manager said there has been an error in accounting,"said a source. That was the first time the salary cuts began.
"What they cut though was far more higher than the surplus they had given in the first place,"added the source.
