Muscat: Sixteen travel agencies received top awards from Indian (Indian Airlines) at a glittering award function held at the Nizwa Ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel yesterday evening.
The awards were given in three categories: excellent sales support, general sales agent (GSA) and corporate.
Twelve agencies (Oman United Agencies LLC, Marmul Travel and Tours LLC, Bahwan Travel Agencies LLC, Abu Anwar Travel Agencies, Moon Travels LLC, Al Harthy – Al Araimi Travel and Cargo LLC, Dubai Travels, Majan International Agencies Travel and Tourism LLC, Al Hashar Tourism and Travels, Omani Travel and Tourism Bureau LLC, Aries Travels and United Travels LLC) were given awards for the excellent sales support to Indian for last year (2005). The GSA award was given to National Travel and Tourism, and the corporate award given to Saud Bahwan Group, Bahwan Engineering Company LLC and Suhail Bahwan Group (Holding) LLC. The chief guest at the award function was Pankaj Srivastava, regional manager, Gulf of Indian.
