Kochi: Air Arabia would be launching its service on the Sharjah-Kochi sector from May one this year.
The Indian government has confirmed that Air Arabia has been granted rights to fly between Kochi and Sharjah from May, Rohit Ramachandran, Air Arabia, Manager, India, told a press meet here.
While initially, it will be operating four flights a week, from May 12 the airline would be having daily flights on the sector.
As trade ties between UAE and India grows, more cities would get connected by the airline, he said adding Mumbai and Jaipur are the two cities where the airlines has already commenced its service.
With regard to the fares on the Sharjah-Kochi sector, Ramachandran said it would range between Rs 4,200 to Rs 6,700, which was nearly 40 per cent lower than the charges of other airlines operating on the route.
