Rajahmundy (AP): Air Deccan proposes to open a comprehensive aviation training institute on par with developed countries. Seventy per cent of the countries pilots and engineers are being trained abroad, India needs to produce its own pilots, engineers and technicians to run its vast aviation industry, Air Deccan Managing Director Gopinath Reddy told reporters on Saturday.Gopinath appealed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy to provide a 25 acre plot to Air Deccan to establish its training institute as well running the hospitality industry at the new Shamshabad National Airport near Hyderabad.
