Toronto: Air India has announced that it will be doubling the service from May 1. The airline's flights will depart from Toronto to Delhi every day except Tuesday with brief stops in Birmingham and Amritsar, Mr P K Gupta, Air India's Regional Director for the US and Canada said yesterday while presenting top travel agents awards to fo ur Indo-Canadians.
Mr Gupta said that the airline was planning to provide direct service from various North American cities to major cities in India including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Jammu in a phased manner during 2006 and 2007 to meet the growing dema nd of Indo-Canadian community in North America.
