Air India today submitted before the Delhi High Court that the flight Pursars would be given five years weightage over the Air Hostesses while appointing them as Inflight Supervisors.
Senior Counsel appearing for the Air India before a division bench headed by Justice Mukul Mudgal said that the government was cosidering to give weightage of five years to the flight pursars to iron out the crisis.
The Air India also assured the court that till the petition was disposed of there would be no appointment of any inflight supervisor in the official carrier.
The Association of the Flight Pursars had challenged the December 27, 2005 order of the government to appoint inflight supervisors from both air hostesses and flight pursars on seniority basis.
Counsel Manali Singhal appearing for the Association contended that the airhostesses are appointed between the age of 18-24 and with the qualification of school board pass, whereas the pursars are having minimum graduate and appointed at much older age.
