Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut challenging the system followed by Air India for training instructors for the Boeing 777 aircraft.
Raut is a Member of the Consultative Committee attached to the Civil Aviation Ministry.
In its affidavit, Air India had explained that all the four pilots selected for training had the requisite experience.
All the four pilots were also duly certified by a Boeing examiner as eligible for release as flight instructors on B-777 aircraft. The DGCA had, on March 31, 2006, accepted the training imparted to the pilots on B-777 aircraft.
