New Delhi: The strike call by employees of Indian (earlier known as Indian Airlines) has been withdrawn following the appointment of a committee to look into their grievances.
The move follows a meeting between airline's chairman and managing director Vishwapati Trivedi and representatives of the Air Corporations Employees Union (ACEU). ''The ACEU has withdrawn its call for an all-India strike on May 8 and has suspended all agitational action,'' said an official statement issued by Indian today.
In a letter to Mr Trivedi, the ACEU expressed gratitude to him for showing genuine interest in resolving all outstanding issues.
