According to sources in Air-India, three working groups at various levels will also be formed in due course of time for the mega merger. The board meeting also decided to send a proposal to the Central government to appoint a consultant for the exercise.
The proposal will be sent in the next couple of days and once it gets the requisite clearance, A-I would call for expression of interest from various consultant firms. The consultant would then work out the roadmap for the operational merger between the two state-run carriers.
