Guelph (Canada): An international boom in flying is making Guelph Airpark a popular place as young people from India and other Asian countries come here to get the knowledge and flying experience that will land them jobs as pilots in their home countries.
"Right now, we have 20 students here for eight months," said Adele Fogle, the owner of Aviation International.
Rapidly developing economies in Asia are allowing people to fly more often. Major airlines and aircraft builders are booming now that deregulation has hit the skies.
A special classroom has been set up for the students at Guelph Airpark.
Rique Lytle, chief pilot and flight instructor at the Guelph flying school, said the Asian demand for pilot training has encouraged the school to add more planes to its fleet. He expects the demand for trained pilots will continue to grow globally.
