Mumbai: KLM-Northwest will introduce touch screen self-service check-in facility at Mumbai International Airport. With the launch of this new service, KLM-Northwest will become the first carrier to usher in this facility.
Three self-service check-in machines have been installed by KLM-Northwest in cooperation with the Airports Authority of India at the Mumbai international airport. Passengers just need to touch the screen, insert their frequent flyer card, passport or credit card, select the flight number or destination and confirm their flight itinerary and check for valid documents. Passengers can even pick a seat of their choice and within seconds of confirming they will get their boarding pass. If they have check-in baggage, they may drop it off at the airline's special baggage drop-off counter for Self Service Checked-in passengers.
