Ottawa: The judicial inquiry in to the 1985 Air India bombing will open June 21 with a formal statement from its commissioner, John Major.
Major, a retired Supreme Court justice, was named last month to lead the inquiry into the terrorist bombing, which killed 329 people.
The justice will open the inquiry with an outline of his mandate, his tentative schedule and the draft rules of procedure.
The government has estimated that the whole process will take about a year.
