Beijing: Spokesman Chong Quan of the Ministry of Commerce expressed his perplexity on Thursday at a press conference over Indian government's obstruction of a Chinese company bidding for civil airport projects.
The Shenzhen CIMC-Tianda Airport Support Company was said to have been seeded as the best tenderer in a public bidding for the construction of 17 lunge bridges of the Indian Airport Administration.
"We couldn't understand the relevant departments of India who set a ban on this company for security reasons," said Chong, adding that the experienced CIMC-Tianda has undertaken a number of lunge bridge construction projects in India.
He said China hoped India could rectify its misbehavior and revise relevant policies to create a fair and just business environment for Chinese companies.
