Australian air traffic authority Airservices Australia will target China and India in its plan to expand its business opportunities, it announced.
The government owned aviation products and services provider has signed a cooperation agreement with a German air navigation service provider, identifying Asia and Persian Gulf countries as its target for development.
Airservices Australia and DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung will launch a sales mission into the Gulf region in the coming months, before developing strategies to market air traffic control, tower and airside products and services to China and India, a statement from the two organisations said.
"Both Airservices and DFS have independently identified these regions as major growth areas of the future in airports, air traffic control management and associated airside business," Airservices Australia chief executive officer Greg Russell said.
