Call for cheaper Indian flights

Manama: Indian associations and clubs in Bahrain are being urged to join forces to push for cheaper flights home.
The rallying call has come from members of the Bahrain Malayalee Business Forum, which says the current fares of Air India and Indian are too high.
They are threatening to organise a boycott of both airlines and are encouraging other associations to join them unless prices are slashed.
Air India Express is a low-cost carrier that was originally scheduled to start services to the Gulf in April. However, it was postponed until October because it did not have enough planes to operate the service.
