Itanagar: A civilian airport project for this state capital has been cleared by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, official sources said today.
The Prime Minister conveyed this decision during a telephonic conversation with Chief Minister, Gegong Apang, last night.
Singh who was to undertake a two-day visit to the state from June 13, has postponed his visit as the monsoon has already set in but assured Apang that he would visit the state at the earliest after the monsoon is over, the sources added.
