New York: Air India has announced that Anil K Mathur has assumed charge as the airliner's Regional Director for USA and Canada, succeeding Promod Gupta who has been transferred to a senior management position at the AI's headquarters in Mumbai.
Mathur brings more than 30 years experience in the industry, having served in various management positions including Regional Manager, Northern India based in Delhi, Manager, Dubai and Northern Emirates, Marketing Manager, UK and Ireland in London, Assistant Manager in Tokyo and as the Executive Assistant to the Regional Director, Africa in Nairobi. Immediately prior to taking charge of the USA & Canada region, Mathur held the position of the Regional Manager, New York for the past year. He will be based in the Air India Regional Headquarters in New York City.
