Farnborough: Aviation Partners Boeing said Air India Charters, a subsidiary of Air India, ordered 18 Blended Winglet shipsets to be installed on its recently ordered 737-800s beginning in October. In addition, it has taken delivery of four new Blended Winglet-equipped 737-800s on lease from ILFC.
Paris-based proposed transatlantic startup Elysair ordered one firm and one option 757-200 Blended Winglet shipsets. Initial installation will take place in November with the second to be installed in early 2007. Elysair intends to launch all-business-class, 100-seat services between Paris Orly and Newark.
