Bangalore: On Sunday evening, a UK national's handbag kept in a car parked near the departure terminal of Bangalore airport was stolen. The bag contained her passport, pounds sterling, jewellery and some books, including the Ramayana.
Venetia Ansell had kept her bag in the car while making enquiries at an airlines counter when the incident took place.
Even as the traffic police are having a harrowing time regulating traffic outside the airport, thefts of valuables and even vehicles are on the rise.
