London: British Airways Plc , Europe's third-largest airline, said on Wednesday it had sold its 14.6 percent stake in India's WNS Holdings Ltd. for $96 million (52 million pounds).
BA said in a statement it would report a gain on the disposal of about 48 million pounds in the second quarter of the current year and proceeds would be used to pay off debt.
WNS, which provides offshore business process outsourcing, raised $224 million in an offering of American Depositary Shares (ADS) on Wednesday, representing about 28 percent of the company.
