Chandigarh: One look at the number of cancellations Air Deccan has made in the last month and this is enough to substantiate that all is not well with the airlines on the New Delhi-Chandigarh-Jammu route.
As many as 14 cancellations of flight have taken place since June 1 this year. In one instance, the flight remained grounded for five days, from June 11 to 15. The airlines operates a daily flight connecting New Delhi-Chandigarh and Jammu.
Though every time a flight is cancelled the passengers are either refunded the money or their flight rescheduled, but it causes a lot of inconvenience.
Moreover, there has been uncertainty as sometimes the flight goes directly to Jammu without stopping over at Chandigarh and also at times flies directly to New Delhi from Jammu without coming to Chandigarh. And there is no senior staff posted at Chandigarh, there are only ticketing and security staff and all queries related to the airlines are routed to the New Delhi office.
