New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has begun an inquiry into an incident in which an Air India aircraft was cleared to take off when another plane was on the runway at the international airport here.
Meanwhile, ATC sources said since there was an incoming aircraft and the cargo plane was taking more time to vacate the runway yesterday morning, the Air India aircraft which was cleared to take off was asked to get off the runway.
DGCA sources said if this is found to be correct then it is a positive step taken by the ATC.
Priority is alway given to aircrafts which are landing.
