Mumbai: It is a new story that would make Indians sit up, take notice and smile with pride.
France-based airline manufacturer Airbus SAS is banking on Indian IT and engineering services for the design and development of A380 aircraft, popularly known as the Super Jumbo.
Tata Technologies through its acquisition of Incat is working with companies like Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed and others in the aerospace industry for engineering design and product lifecycle management (PLM).
Incat, before the acquisition in 2005, was well entrenched in the international PLM market and was working closely with all major aerospace manufacturers.
Tata Technologies is now making major moves in the aerospace industry, which forms a substantial part of an estimated $650 billion engineering design and related market.
According to sources, Tata Technologies is currently working on product design, PLM and tooling design for A380 aircraft out of its Indian development centers.
