New Delhi: Public sector oil firms today raised aviation turbine fuel prices by about Rs 900 per kilolitre, or over two per cent, in step with firming up of international prices.
ATF or jet fuel prices for domestic airlines in Delhi were raised by Rs 895.56 per kl to Rs 41,303.58 while in Kolkata the hike was Rs 948.18 per kl to Rs 46,564.46, an official of Indian Oil Corp, country's largest oil firm, said.
Public sector oil companies - Indian Oil Corp (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd - revise ATF prices on monthly basis in line with international trends. The new prices became effective from today.
ATF prices for international airlines, which unlike domestic liners are not required to pay local levies, the hike was over 7.6 dollars per kl.
