Chennai: Radisson GRT has diversified into in-flight catering business, which will be part of its overall hotel operations. The catering unit has already bagged a deal with Kingfisher and Indian. Radisson GRT is also looking to renew its focus on outdoor catering this year.
Speaking on the new venture, Vikram Cotah, GM of Radisson GRT, says, "Our proximity to the airport and the fact that we are the first hotel to receive ISO 22000 certification on food safety and hygiene prompted us to enter the catering business. At present, we have demarcated an area in our hotel where we carry out the operations. However, it needs a specific work process to make food in the format the airlines want."
