Singapore: Singaporean low-cost arrier Tiger Airways has announced plans to add five destinations and three airplanes to its operation by the end of the year.
The airline will soon fly to Brunei and Phnom Penh, as well as new cities in India and China, Chief Executive Officer Tony Davis said Thursday, according to the Straits Times newspaper.
The report didn't name the new destination cities in China and India.
The expansion means the budget carrier will be flying to 20 destinations with nine planes, Davis told reporters. He expects the airline to have a fleet of 20 planes by 2010.
Tiger, which is 49 percent-owned by Singapore Airlines Ltd., has been flying since September 2004. It currently serves 16 cities in seven countries.
