The 7/11 blasts have failed to dent air traffic from the Mumbai. An Indian Airlines spokesperson said, “We had no cancellations on any of our flights so far.”
SpiceJet director Ajay Singh said, “The mood for air travel is generally low due to the monsoons. We did not witness any cancellations due to blasts in Mumbai. The passenger load factor is currently 83%.”
Jet Airways has even started waiving off cancellation, re-booking and re-routing charges for all confirmed tickets from Mumbai with effect 7 pm on July 11 to 5 am the next day, according to a company spokesperson.
Industry experts say that though air travellers are a bit concerned over the events, things will return to normalcy soon. Mumbai aiports have also taken necessary steps to ensure safety of passengers.
