Briton gets away with a ‘sorry’

UK national Neil Keenan, an employee of British Midland (BMI), the second-largest airline operating from the UK, escaped punitive action by the Bureau for Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) for entering the secure zone at the Sahar Airport facility on August 14 and 15.
The BCAS temporarily revoked passes issued to BMI’s India manager Mark Hereford, and issued show-cause notices to two duty managers and a security supervisor.
But on August 16, Hereford issued an apology to the BCI on behalf of himself, Keenan and his airliner. BMI’s London office also issued an apology, following which Hereford’s pass was restored.
