Frankfurt: European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co (EADS) plans to invest 2 bln eur in production and research facilities in India in the next 15 years, the Financial Times Deutschland reported, citing a spokesman for the company.
EADS is currently only present in India through its Airbus unit, but the group hopes to do business in the field of military technology, the paper said.
EADS's Eurocopter unit is planning to cooperate with with India's HAL to develop a new type of military helicopter, the newspaper reported, citing sources.
This project is to be unveiled next week.
