New Delhi: Air travellers to UK and US can finally heave a sigh of relief. With the two countries reducing the security threat levels, airlines eased restrictions on carrying hand baggage onto planes and even permitted travellers to carry their laptops and mobile phones on board.
But when it comes to liquids, beverages and cosmetics, the blanket ban is still on. So, if you are booked on a flight to UK or US, or even transiting UK, you no longer have to stuff all your belongings into the check-in bag.
Authorities are now permitting passengers to carry one item of cabin baggage through the airport security search point. A ladies purse can be carried within this hand baggage.
The cosmetics still have to be checked in and will, under no circumstance, be permitted inside the aircraft cabin.Also, the ban on liquids, beverages and juices still remain.
