Doha: Indian expatriates who reside in the western state, Gujarat, will be able to fly directly to Ahmedabad from Doha via Kuwait, when Kuwait Airways launches its thrice weekly flights to that city, P K Ashraf, Assistant Country Manager at the airline, said here yesterday. The Kuwaiti flag carrier will also increase to four, the number of flights it offers to Cochin in Kerala, India, offering services every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, he added.
The Ahmedabad flights, he said, will begin operating in the airline's winter schedule that goes into force October 28. The flights will be on Monday, Thursday and Saturday departing Kuwait International Airport at 11.05pm, local time to arrive in Ahmedabad at 5.15am, local time. Passengers from Doha will be offered connections with Kuwait Airways' daily flight that departs for Kuwait at 6.40pm to arrive at the Kuwait International Airport at 7.50pm, he added.
