Putrajaya: Chinese and Indian nationals can apply for multiple entry visas (MEV) with immediate effect, on condition that their stays do not exceed 30 days per entry.
The Government also agreed that they pay the rate of a single-entry visa for the MEV: RM50 for Indian nationals and RM30 for those from China.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said yesterday the decision was made by the Cabinet in its meeting on Wednesday.
The Cabinet also agreed that Visa On Arrival (VOA) at RM100 per person be introduced at all major airports and entry points.
To facilitate issuance of visa for Indian tourists, the Government also agreed that a consulate be set up in Mumbai soon, he added.
