Chennai: A Paris-bound Malaysian Airlines flight made an emergency landing here in the wee hours today as a passenger reportedly suffered a heart attack, airport sources said.
When the aircraft, which took off from Kuala Lumpur, was flying over India, the passenger, a Malaysian national, complained of severe chest pain, prompting the pilot to seek permission for an unscheduled landing here.
The flight landed here at 12.50 a.m. and the passenger, along with his wife, were offloaded and rushed to a private hospital, the sources said. The aircraft later took off at 3.30 a.m.
