New Delhi: The government said Competition Commission of India (CCI) is not inquiring into the Jet-Sahara deal as the body is not fully functional yet. The CCI has not yet become fully functional and has, therefore, not yet taken up exercise of statutory powers relating to enquiries of cartels, abuse of dominance and regulation of combinations and acquisition from the competition angle, company affairs minister PC Gupta said. To another question, minister of state for finance SS Palanimanickam said there are no outstanding tax liabilities against Jet as on date.
