Lucknow: The parking fee at Amausi airport is all set to rise - from the existing Rs 56 which includes 12 percent service tax to a round figure of Rs 60.
Talking to The Times of India, director of Amausi airport Ravi Prakash said that they have got permission from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to reset the existing parking rates.
"In a couple of days we would float tender notices for the same," he informed. "The rates would be Rs 60 and this would include everything (read service tax)," he said.
Interestingly, the increased parking rates might have been a jacked up one because of the application of service tax, experts say. Parking of vehicles at an airport do not come under the ambit of service tax, said senior chartered accountant Vishwa Bandhu Bhargava.
