London: Air India's former Regional Director in charge of UK and Europe Ashvini Kumar Sharma has sent legal notices to two London tabloids for carrying reports that claimed he was sacked amid certain allegations.
Christopher Stewart Moore, a leading UK Solicitor sent the legal notice on Sharma's behalf to the Evening Standard and Daily Star asking them to either apologise and pay damages within 14 days or face legal action for carrying the report.
Moore said they had sent the initial letter on August 4 and a detailed letter was sent today. The Evening Standard report had appeared on August 3.
Sharma had described the report as "a load of rubbish and total nonsense" and said he had completed his term of assignment which is more than due.
