Bangalore: A Suryakiran trainer aircraft on Monday made a "belly-landing" at the Bangalore airport runway but the pilot and an engineer on board escaped unhurt, a senior police official said.
The mishap occurred during a routine sortie when the aircraft faced the trouble during landing as its wheels failed to open, leading to belly-landing, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) V Muniswamy said.
The pilot and an engineer of Aircraft Systems and Testing Establishment on board escaped unhurt, he added.
