New Delhi: The US may have sounded an alarm about India too being vulnerable to possible terror threats, but not many Indians have cancelled their plans of flying out for a weekend break. The common perception among travel industry leaders is that Indians have learnt to live with terror threats and prefer not to let them be dampeners to their holiday plans.
"Some of our customers have postponed travel plans and a few have cancelled plans to fly out, but most people are taking terrorism in their stride," said Subhash Goyal, president of the Indian Association of Travel Operators (IATO).
Whether Singapore or Bangkok, the travel industry leader said there did not seem to be any major impact on air traffic.
Amadeus India, which is part of the world’s most extensive electronic travel marketplaces, too has recorded very few cancellations.
