Doha: An Indian airline plane, which suffered a tyre burst on take-off from Doha on Friday night landed safely in Bahrain but cancelled its return trip to pick up passengers bound for Kozhikoke. "Since it could not carry the full load, it went straight to Kozhikode with passengers from Bahrain," an airline official said in Doha yesterday. Subsequently, the plane was taken to Delhi for repairs.
The airline has combined its two services of Saturday and Sunday, the official said.
The cancellation of the Doha leg stranded some 40 passengers on Saturday morning. Some of them were endorsed to other available flights, the Indian official said.
