Thiruvananthapuram: The Centre would take all steps to reduce the air fares in the Kerala-Gulf sector, Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi said here today.
If Air India took the initiative in this regard, other airline companies would follow suit, he told reporters.
The recent increase in flight fares during the holiday season was unfortunate. The exorbitant fares could not be afforded by passengers who were travelling home during Onam.
