Chennai: A Malaysian airlines flight from Jeddah to Kuala Lumpur made a landing in emergency conditions at Chennai airport as one of its passengers developed cardiac problems mid-air.
The incident happened when Muhammed Bin Dilan, a 52-year-old Saudi national, complained of chest pain and developed cardiac problems while the aircraft was flying over Chennai. The pilot immediately sought permission for landing at Chennai airport, airport officials said.
Soon after the flight landed, an ambulance which had been kept on standby, took him to Balaji Hospital near the airport.
Later, the flight left for Kuala Lumpur.
