Noa Haviv, the young Israeli woman who was arrested at the Bombay airport last week after security found a loaded ammunition cartridge in her bag, was released Tuesday on bail of $300, Army Radio reported.
Haviv's remand was initially extended by five days following her arrest.
The Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem speculated at the time that authorities would release the young Israeli, since the magazine belonged to her brother, who had just returned from reserve duty.
Following her release, Haviv was free to move about India as she pleased, but was barred from leaving the country.
