Jet Airways establishes state-of-the-art Hangar in Mumbai

India's Jet Airways has become the first private airline to establish its own hangar in Mumbai, to carry out major and line maintenance checks for its fleet of Boeing and ATR aircraft. The hangar can accommodate two Boeing Aircraft 737-series plus one ATR Aircraft at any given time. Set up at a cost of US$ 15 million, the hangar is capable of undertaking ‘C’ check and major maintenance work for Boeing 737-series aircraft as also for ATR aircraft.
The state-of-the-art hangar is equipped with workshops for taking care of independent modules like Avionics, Hydraulic, Composite panel repair, furnishing and seat repair, sheet metal, cleaning-painting, wheels and brakes shop and engine storage area.
