Now, opaque airlines for transparent travellers!

New Delhi: Domestic air travellers rejoice. Opaque fares and dynamic packaging are here.
Opaque fares, already in wide use in Europe and the US, is the bridge between airlines that don’t wish to be seen as discounting their tickets and the traveller who is looking for the best value-for-money deal.
Under ‘opaque fares’, the travel portal lists all possible fares on a route chosen by the passengers without providing details of the airline selling those tickets. The details of the flight and the airline are revealed only after the passenger books the ticket.
Travel portal Yatra Online has introduced India's first opaque fare site. Initially, three of the four full service carriers (Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air Sahara and Kingfisher Airlines) are expected to be part of the portal.
