Mumbai: India’s first low cost airline, Air Deccan has made it to the No.2 spot in the domestic aviation industry. The latest Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) figures, released this week on the regulator’s web site, for the month of June shows that Indian (formerly Indian Airlines) has slipped to the third position, with a fall in its market share to 20.8% while the Bangalore-based Air Deccan’s share has grown to 21.2%.
